I certainly believe that rumba is the dance of love and tango the dance of passion. In rumba you feel that the man wants to have the woman the whole time on his body and he's pulling her at him.

Ha Ha, This is the age old mystery. The lady feels most wanted and desired because the man is trying to get her attention. On the other side the man feels most desired, when he has the lady under his spell and at his full control, she responding to his very whim, twist and turn with elegance and beauty. I understand the characterization of the two, but isnt’ rumba really about trying to get the woman (as you said) and tango about actually having her and the passion that follows. Some say the fun is in the chase, but which is better and wanting or the having?

I don’t keep favorites, I love then all but I think that I am most creative with cha cha and Rumba.

They all demand different feelings from me, causing me to explore those varied emotional dimensions of myself. Scary sometimes! But that why I love it.

i believe that chacha is concetrating more to the woman, her elegance and her ability to show how well she's moving and gain your attention.

You have described the interaction of the male and female roles for rumba and cha cha cha, What about Jive, Paso dole and samba. How do you see your roles playing out in these dances?

I belive that in almost all dances the girl has hisimportance ...like chacha and also jive I think she shows everything of what she has good in her....also in jive... I say this because you often hear in competition that the boy is everything and I don't agree:P

I'm sorry but I don't dance paso doble and jive so I can't have opinion but I believe that in paso doble in what I have seen thei role has equal importance.

Hi, Albinutza, nobody thinks about guys as being good dancers so when you get a guy who is actual good, everyone notes it. On the other hand women are expected to love dancing and be quite good at it. It would be no fun without you ladies. Nobody is going to pay to watch a show with all guys dancing. Well not ballroom anyway! ha ha!

I really like Danae perspective on the interaction between the roles played between the male and female in the dances.
Samba is about wild untamed celebration, showing it all off unfettered and free.

What dances do you both dance? I do the 10 international dances 5 Latin and 5 classics. Then salsa and meringue.
